This cable type is often used to expand the cable distance as well. 

These cables look like colored wires that have been twisted around one another to create a single wire. In most instances, you will see four colorful wires that are wrapped with a metal shield and provide a single plastic sheath. 

Unshielded Twisted Pair Cables
